PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance Fanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fanger comes to the cage accompanied by Satin in a coffin by Modest Mouse. Mark Jansen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fanger throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Fanger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Fanger postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jansen looks a forlorn figure.
Fanger lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jansen hang on?

Fanger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jansen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fanger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
