Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks's entrance music is Nothing Else Matters. A fine choice. Filipovic has chosen Rammstein - Sonne as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Filipovic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brooks works over Filipovic's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Mirko Filipovic has been cut.
Brooks moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Brooks. Those never looked like landing.
Brooks misses with a double jab
and Filipovic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Eli Brooks has been cut.
Brooks takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Brooks throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Filipovic counters with a crisp one two that drops Brooks! Filipovic thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Brooks to his feet! Brooks is in big trouble!
Brooks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Filipovic makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Brooks is breathing heavily.
Brooks dips to his left and cracks Filipovic with an uppercut!
Brooks misses with a jab to the body
and Filipovic counters with a leg kick.
Filipovic throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Filipovic feints a jab promting Brooks to slip. Filipovic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Brooks slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Filipovic throws a series of punches but Brooks avoids them all with ease.

Oooooh!!! Filipovic has knocked Brooks down with a huge combo! Filipovic steps away and waves a wobbly Brooks back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Mirko Filipovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Filipovic instigates a clinch.

Filipovic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Filipovic moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Eli Brooks's cut is getting worse.
Brooks throws a sloppy body shot
and Filipovic counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Brooks off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Filipovic follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Brooks was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mirko Filipovic!
