Barnes's entrance music is Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. A fine choice. Schweinsteiger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Son Kite - On Air. Pacman Barnes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bastian Schweinsteiger's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schweinsteiger dodges the punch combination from Barnes.
Barnes throws a sloppy body shot
and Schweinsteiger counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Schweinsteiger shoots in but Barnes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Schweinsteiger clinches up with Barnes and pushes him back against the cage.

Schweinsteiger drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Barnes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Schweinsteiger has Barnes pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Schweinsteiger pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Barnes tumbling to the mat - Schweinsteiger dives into Barnes's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barnes enables Schweinsteiger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barnes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barnes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Schweinsteiger walks straight into a right hand from Barnes - that's dropped him! Barnes jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Schweinsteiger from any more punishment! Schweinsteiger complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
