Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madre dives in and grabs Leino's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leino pushes down on Madre's head and hops out.

Leino rushes Madre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Madre tries a body shot but Leino blocks it.
Leino wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Madre fails to pull guard.

Leino breaks from the clinch.

Leino looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Madre trying to hold on to Leino's head to control him but Leino postures up.
Leino controlling the pace.
Madre is trying to maintain the position but Leino is very close to passing his half guard.
Madre is trying to get back to full guard.
Leino wants to stand but Madre has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Madre is looking to control Leino's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Madre avoid being mounted?
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Puta Madre has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Leino will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Leino rushes Madre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Leino is trying to force a seperation but Madre has the dominant position.
Madre prevents Leino from breaking the clinch.
Madre trying to stall but Leino improves his position.
Madre misses with a knee strike.
Leino wants to break free but Madre has control.
Madre tries to pull guard but Leino holds him up against the cage and eventually Madre drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Puta Madre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Madre has Leino pressed against the cage, preventing Leino from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Leino pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Madre stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Madre wants it to stay on the feet.
Madre throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Madre shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leino sprawls well. Leino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Madre gets slowly back to his feet.
Madre misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Leino lands a jab-cross combination.
Leino fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Leino displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Madre is breathing heavily.
Leino lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Leino.
A head kick misses from Leino.
Leino will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Leino swinging wildly here.
Madre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leino as he avoids it easily.
Leino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Leino closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Leino throws a series of punches but Madre avoids them all with ease.
Madre shoots for a takedown but Leino saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Donk. Leino catches Madre right on the button with a cross.
Leino pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Madre back to the cage. Leino follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Leino is looking to break free of the clinch but Madre has double underhooks.

Eino Leino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Madre takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Leino throws a series of strikes that have Madre backpedaling.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leino throws a combination. Madre tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Leino scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Leino wants to break the clinch but can't.

A frustrated look appears on Leino's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Madre looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Leino escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Leino throws a head kick but Madre moves out of range.

Madre is rocked!
Madre gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Madre tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Leino is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Madre buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Madre!! Madre is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Leino throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eino Leino!
