The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renzokuken tries to clinch up but Resina circles away and keeps his distance.
Resina changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Renzokuken tries to avoid it but Resina manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Renzokuken to the ground. Renzokuken escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jonas Resina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Resina shoots in for a takedown but Renzokuken shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Resina wants to land a leg kick but Renzokuken is out of range.
Resina shoots in looking for a takedown. Renzokuken tries to sprawl out of it but Resina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Renzokuken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonas Resina. That's going to take a lot out of him.
