The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gotch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gotch controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Smythe keeping moving, preventing Gotch from controlling successfully.
Gotch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smythe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gotch sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smythe's guard.
Gotch seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gotch could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gotch is looking to advance position but Smythe won't allow it.

Gotch shoots in and bounces Smythe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smythe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gotch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gotch is pushing down on Smythe's leg trying to pass to half guard. Smythe is fighting to maintain full guard but Gotch has managed to sneak the leg through.
