Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cobra Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Silva stuffs the takedown.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.

Silva is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gracie closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.

Gracie tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gracie has hold of Silva's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silva tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Silva screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silva, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
