The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokrateles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hurtado tries to avoid it but Sokrateles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hurtado to the ground. Hurtado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hurtado throws a combination that misses

and Sokrateles counters with a series of strikes that sends Hurtado to the canvas! Sokrateles follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sokrateles is pushing down on Hurtado's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hurtado is fighting to maintain full guard but Sokrateles has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sokrateles prevents Hurtado from standing back up.

Sokrateles is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sokrateles is pressing down on Hurtado's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hurtado is holding on for now.

Sokrateles is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Sokrateles unloads with some shots from mount but Hurtado bucks and avoids them well.
Hurtado is breathing heavily.
Sokrateles throws some wild stikes that Hurtado manages to avoid easily.
Hurtado knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sokrateles on the ground.

Sokrateles working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hurtado turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sokrateles off and cradles Hurtado's limp body as Sokrateles celebrates with his corner.
