Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Lombardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taite Darby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darby has chosen Party Up in Here as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darby clinches up against the cage.
Lombardi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lombardi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lombardi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Lombardi misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lombardi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Darby breaks from the clinch.
Lombardi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Darby moves away from the strike by Lombardi.
Taite Darby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darby gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lombardi.
Darby avoids the head kick by Lombardi.
Lombardi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Darby throws out a powerful jab.
Darby fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Darby uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lombardi has time to react.
Lombardi doesn't manage to clinch there - Darby circles away.
Lombardi throws a head kick that misses.
Darby blocks a head kick by Lombardi.
Lombardi wants to slow Darby down by chopping away at his legs.
A left lands for Darby.
Lombardi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Darby. Darby obviously looking to wear him down.
Darby connects with a right hand. Lombardi shakes it off.
Darby throws a series of punches but Lombardi avoids them all with ease.

Lombardi throws a head kick but Darby moves out of range.

Darby forces Lombardi back against the cage and clinches.
Lombardi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Darby's elbow.
Still in the clinch, Darby scores with a nice short uppercut.
Darby lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lombardi backwards.

Lombardi is rocked!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lombardi.
Oh Lombardi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Darby doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lombardi blocks an elbow strike from Darby.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Darby.
Darby fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Darby has Lombardi pressed against the cage. He pushes Lombardi back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Darby throws a beautiful elbow that sends Lombardi crashing to the floor! Darby piles on the pressure with more strikes! Lombardi is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
