Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thiago Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felipe Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oliveira off to one side.

enabling Machida to counter with a crisp jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Oliveira.
Oliveira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machida as he jumps to the side.
Thiago Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Oliveira.
Oliveira tries to clinch up
and Machida connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oliveira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Machida circles away.
Oliveira tries a head kick but it misses.
Machida leaves Oliveira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Machida stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Machida dips to his left and cracks Oliveira with an uppercut!
Thiago Machida is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Oliveira shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Machida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Oliveira is rocked!
Oliveira shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machida pinned against the cage. Machida gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oliveira takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Oliveira is trying desperately to land a takedown but Machida is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Oliveira.
Oliveira walks into a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machida connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Oliveira is still on wobbly legs! Can Machida finish him?
Machida scores with a sloppy right hand. Oliveira should have avoided that one.
Machida paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machida drops Oliveira with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Oliveira! Machida dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
