The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dos Santos fails with a takedown attempt.
dos Santos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Andre Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian dos Santos.
dos Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Alvarez circles away.
Alvarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A jab from Alvarez does it's job there.

It looks like Christian dos Santos has been cut.
dos Santos shoots for a double leg takedown but Alvarez sprawls well. He's pushed dos Santos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Alvarez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alvarez cracks dos Santos with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
dos Santos closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Alvarez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. dos Santos eats them both and turns towards Alvarez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alvarez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh dos Santos colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Alvarez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and dos Santos is left battered and dazed whilst Alvarez and his camp cheer!
