Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haral Dir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping xing ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ping xing ling has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Haral Dir's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Haral Dir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ping xing ling!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dir changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. xing ling looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
xing ling is trying to control Dir's posture but Dir avoids it.
Dir staying calm.
xing ling is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dir asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Dir is staying tight to xing ling's torso, preventing him from escaping.
xing ling tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dir defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of xing ling's arms.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
xing ling thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

xing ling has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dir has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Dir feints and as xing ling raises his hands in defense, Dir changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dir is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down xing ling's shoulder. That is not cool.

Dir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for xing ling on the ground.
Dir works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Dir prevents xing ling from escaping the position.
Dir takes a little break here. xing ling wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haral Dir dominated that second round.
That's time! Dir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


xing ling tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dir was well out of range. Poor timing from xing ling.

Dir feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Haral Dir just wasn't active enough.
No luck for Dir with that takedown attempt.
Dir dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on xing ling. That did some damage!
xing ling takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dir has his hands on xing ling's head, controlling the position.

Dir is trying to control the position but xing ling postures up.

Haral Dir has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Dir closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dir remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
xing ling is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dir has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on xing ling's face as Dir controls the position.

Dir is looking to take a break and control but xing ling is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

xing ling is pushing Dir's head away, looking to escape. Dir manages to hold on to the position though.

Haral Dir showed his dominance in that final round.
