The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pelle cracks Cazares with an open hand slap.

Cazares wants to work for an arm triangle but Pelle is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cazares is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Pelle to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Cazares is looking to work some ground and pound but Pelle has wrist control.

Cazares postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pelle is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cazares, into his guard.
Cazares wants to stand and escape but Pelle is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pelle stands and steps away. Cazares gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cazares takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pelle throws a right hand that misses

and Cazares counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pelle's guard now.
Cazares scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Cazares drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pelle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cazares has Pelle in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pelle wants to control from the top but Cazares keeps moving.
Cazares controls Pelle momentarily but Pelle frees himself.
Pelle trying to control the position from guard on top but Cazares is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cazares is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cazares looking for a triangle here. Pelle is fighting it but it looks tight! Cazares pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Pelle is tapping out - this one is all over!
