Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabione De Giorgi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabione De Giorgi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
De Giorgi wants to get back to full guard.
De Giorgi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Santos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Santos's back!
De Giorgi has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Santos has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

De Giorgi reaches up to try and control the position but Santos seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! De Giorgi rolls and tries to escape and now Santos has his back!
Santos is looking for a choke. De Giorgi gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. De Giorgi manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Santos manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

De Giorgi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Santos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

De Giorgi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

De Giorgi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Santos has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Santos!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Santos gets to his feet. De Giorgi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
De Giorgi misses with a takedown
and Santos counters with a shoot takedown. De Giorgi fights it but they end up in guard.

Santos wants to control from the top but De Giorgi keeps moving.
De Giorgi is working an open guard so Santos takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Santos throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. De Giorgi was covering up waiting for the punch and Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard.

De Giorgi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Santos has picked De Giorgi up and slammed him! De Giorgi can't keep hold of the triangle and Santos manages to pass to side control!

De Giorgi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Emerson Santos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
