The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi misses with a takedown attempt
and Johansson counters with a nice uppercut.
Kushin Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Johansson.
Johansson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Takahashi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Takahashi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Johansson moves into range and connects with a jab.

Johansson throws a hook but Takahashi blocks it.
Johansson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Takahashi's calf.
Johansson scores with a nice body kick.
Takahashi looks gassed!

Mikael Johansson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kushin Takahashi.
Johansson lands a nice hook to Takahashi's body. Takahashi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Takahashi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Johansson connects with a jab.
Johansson lands a leg kick that knocks Takahashi off balance momentarily.
Johansson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Johansson cracks Takahashi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johansson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Takahashi to stand back up!

Johansson connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Takahashi to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Johansson!
