The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hanson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hanson stands and throws Brown's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hanson cracks Brown with a big right hand but Brown just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Check out the look on Hanson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Hanson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hanson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hanson lands a nice forearm strike.

Hanson decides to stand back up.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hanson avoids the attempt from Brown to control.

Hanson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Brown lunges at Hanson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hanson's hand.

and Hanson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brown drops Hanson with a huge uppercut! Hanson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Brown is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
