Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie DeMarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Samara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie DeMarino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ramon Samara!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMarino uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Samara.
DeMarino misses with a body punch
and Samara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

DeMarino shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Samara wants to control but DeMarino is keeping busy.
DeMarino working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

DeMarino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Samara bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in DeMarino's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
DeMarino wants to sweep here but Samara controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DeMarino is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Samara is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Samara wants to control from the top but DeMarino keeps moving.

Samara's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

DeMarino misses with an uppercut
and Samara counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Samara clinches.
DeMarino has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Samara avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

DeMarino gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
DeMarino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samara swivels though and keeps the full guard.
DeMarino throws and elbow that misses. Samara uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in DeMarino's guard. Nice move by Samara!

DeMarino working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Samara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Samara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Samara throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
DeMarino tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
DeMarino is trying to get back to his feet but Samara has full control of the position and if anything, DeMarino has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Samara really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for DeMarino.
Samara lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

DeMarino wants to control his opponent's hands but Samara gets his hands free.
DeMarino looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
DeMarino tries to escape but Samara has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Samara really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for DeMarino.
Samara is looking to control DeMarino but DeMarino is wriggling around and keeping busy.

I really don't envy DeMarino right now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Samara moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
DeMarino throws a strike but Samara rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
DeMarino is looking to stand back up but Samara counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by DeMarino.

Ramon Samara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Samara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but DeMarino manages to avoid it.

Samara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
You get the feeling that DeMarino really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Ramon Samara is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Samara can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as DeMarino is looking to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
DeMarino is desperately trying to improve his position but Samara has a good base and remains in mount.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Samara is taking a breather. DeMarino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ramon Samara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Samara has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
