The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Galvoa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Galvoa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Galvoa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sinclair pushes Galvoa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Galvoa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Galvoa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Sinclair wants to control but Galvoa postures up.

Sinclair is looking for a sweep.
Sinclair wants to get back to his feet but Galvoa drags him back down.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Galvoa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Galvoa moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sinclair has worked his arm free - good work by Sinclair!
Sinclair is looking for a sweep.

Galvoa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sinclair is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sinclair is not content to let Galvoa control the position.
Galvoa is breathing heavily.

Sinclair really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Galvoa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Galvoa content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Galvoa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sinclair has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Galvoa but great work by Sinclair.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Galvoa is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sinclair tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Galvoa.
Galvoa is refusing to be controlled, as Sinclair sits in half guard.
Sinclair looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Sinclair keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Galvoa manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galvoa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Sinclair avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Galvoa is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Galvoa extends the arm and Sinclair is forced to tap!
