The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart moves out of range as Ferris strikes.
Hart tries to clinch up but Ferris circles away and keeps his distance.
Ferris looks for a takedown but Hart sprawls well.
Hart bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Hart clinches up against the cage.
Hart taking a breather.
Hart lands a knee to the head.
Hart connects with a knee to the head.
Knees in the clinch landing for Hart.
Hart works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ferris tries to pull guard but Hart holds him up against the cage and eventually Ferris drops back down to his feet.

Hart breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hart feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ferris's calf.
Ferris looks gassed!

Hart instigates a clinch.

Ferris drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hart gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bertt Hart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Ferris.
Ferris is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hart is keeping busy.

Hart throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ferris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hart smiles and moves away.
Ferris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hart as he jumps to the side.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ferris crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hart - the referee stops the clock and Ferris gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hart. Ferris manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hart misses with a punch on the inside.

Hart breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ferris looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ferris circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hart bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ferris takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hart lands a knee to the head.

Hart manages to break the clinch.

Hart fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ferris, pushing him back against the cage.
Hart tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hart lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Hart manages to break the clinch.
Hart tries to clinch there but Ferris circles away.
Hart is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hart throws the kick towards the body but Ferris avoids it.
Ferris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ferris shoots in but no luck this time.

Hart clinches up with Ferris and pushes him back against the cage.

Hart throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ferris blocks it with crossed arms.
Ferris wants a takedown but no success here.
Hart misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hart misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ferris.

Hart escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hart looks to land a right hand but Ferris moved out of range.
Ferris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hart's waist but Ferris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferris off to one side.

Nice sprawl there from Hart as Ferris shoots in.

Hart has Ferris up against the cage in a clinch.
Hart stalling.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hart lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ferris or not.
Ferris managing to block the knees to the body from Hart.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hart moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hart misses with a double jab.
Ferris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Hart closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ferris is looking to reverse the position.
Hart gets to mount! Ferris was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Ferris is squirming around, avoiding Hart's attempts to control the action.
Ferris is wriggling around trying to escape.

Hart trying to control but Ferris is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ferris manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Ferris has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hart. Oh but Ferris has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hart goes limp - he's gone! Ferris jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
