Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sime Soljic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soljic misses the shot to the body.
Soljic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Jones remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Soljic knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Soljic, who protects the arm well.
Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Soljic is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though.

Jones is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Soljic will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
