Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Major Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holt comes to the cage accompanied by Country Boys Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Tate to counter with a crisp jab.

Tate moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Holt tries for a takedown but Tate circles away easily
and Tate counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Major Holt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Holt. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Tate lands a big uppercut and Holt crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Holt looks OK. Tate waves Holt back to his feet!
Holt is rocked!
Tate steps in with a hook that catches Holt right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Tate follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Holt looks absolutely devastated.
