Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Black misses with the combination.
Van Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Van Black drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jj can't do much from the bottom here.
Jj regains half guard, as Van Black was trying to land strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Black misses with a head shot. Jj uses the momentum to regain guard.
Jj bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Van Black's guard.

Jj slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Jj wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Black keeps working.
Jj scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Jj postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Van Black to stand up.

Van Black closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jj to the mat! Jj manages to get full guard.
Jj is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jj takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Van Black is breathing heavily.
Jj is controlling the pace.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jj gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Jj dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jj throws a head kick but Van Black moves out of range.
Jj is looking to clinch but Van Black is avoiding it.

Van Black gets caught flat footed, as Jj shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jj slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Van Black on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Van Black tries to get out of the position.
Jj sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Van Black's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Still in half guard, Jj seems content to control.
Jj landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Jj postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Van Black to stand up.

Van Black is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Van Black is bucking up trying to escape but Jj cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Senior Jj dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jj drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Van Black is trying to improve his position.
Van Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jj on the ground.

Jj has hold of Van Black's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Van Black seems comfortable defending it but Jj has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Van Black is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Van Black is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Jj couldn't care less - he's delighted!
