Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rambo comes to the cage accompanied by Basic Thugonomics. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rambo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rod Rico!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico looks to throw a body kick
and Rambo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Rod Rico has been cut.
Rambo tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Rico to counter with a crisp jab.
Rico throws a right and a left that Rambo avoids nicely.
Rambo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rico.
Rico uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rambo.
Rambo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rico lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rambo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rambo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rico swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rambo throws a good cross that connects.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rambo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rambo loads up on a big right hand but Rico slips the punch.
Rico swings for the body but Rambo moves out of range.
Rambo walks into a jab.

Rambo has managed to clinch.
Rico tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rambo struggles to land a body shot inside as Rico controls his hands.

Rico breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rico tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rambo was well out of range. Poor timing from Rico.

Rambo closes the distance and clinches.
Rambo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rico working hard to break the clinch.
Rico wants to break free but Rambo has control.
Rambo just leaning against Rico, taking a breather.
Rico wants to get back to striking at distance but Rambo won't allow it.

Rico's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rico moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rico lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rambo at a distance.
Rambo is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rico misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rambo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Rambo tries to clinch up.

and Rico counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rambo's knee momentarily.

Rico cracks Rambo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rico has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rambo to stand back up!

Rambo is rocked!

It looks like John Rambo has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rico looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Rico backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Rambo's temple! It sends Rambo violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Rico celebrates and the doctors try to help Rambo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Rod Rico!
