Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Seb Williams!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots and misses
and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Williams closes the distance but Smith moves to the side

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Williams's guard.
Williams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Williams looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Smith puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Williams avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith.
Smith is looking to advance position but Williams won't allow it.
Smith is thwarting Williams's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith wants to stand but Williams has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Smith trying to control the action but Williams is working from the bottom.
Williams avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith.

Williams wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
Williams wants to improve his position but Smith is controlling well.

Smith seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt.
Smith throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Smith is trying to control. Williams wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Smith is keen to just control but Williams is a slippery customer.
Williams wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
Williams tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Smith is looking for a kimura but Williams is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage.

Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Williams tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control.
Williams is not content to let Smith control the position.
Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Williams's head.

Smith maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Williams could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Smith has cracked it and Williams is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Smith!
