Goldberg has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Carter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Goldberg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Carter wants to get back to his feet but Goldberg is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carter has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Goldberg is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Carter.

Goldberg throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Goldberg is in Carter's guard.

Carter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goldberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
