And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D Amico lands a right hook to the body.
Mia jabs at D Amico's body.
D Amico takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mia throws a hook but D Amico blocks it.
Mia looks to score with a jab to the body but D Amico is just out of range.
Mia throws a big shot that misses.
D Amico scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mia on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
D Amico landing a few strikes.
Mia manages to work his way to half guard, despite D Amico's best efforts.
D Amico working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but D Amico pulls his head out easily.

Mia is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of D Amico's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take D Amico's back!

Mia is trying to stick to D Amico's back but D Amico is turning into Mia. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mia's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by D Amico.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mia is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and D Amico defends well.
Mia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. D Amico gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells D Amico's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
D Amico throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

D Amico has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
