Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Cornwall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parsons comes to the cage accompanied by Call Me The Breeze. Cornwall is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Lucky Bullets "Folsom Prison Blues". Charlie Parsons has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Cornwall!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Parsons takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cornwall throws a poor cross that misses

and Parsons counters with a takedown into side control.
Cornwall tries to buck Parsons off but Parsons is having none of it.
Cornwall is trying to control Parsons's posture but Parsons avoids it.
Cornwall tries to buck Parsons off but Parsons is having none of it.
Cornwall is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parsons content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Cornwall manages to work his way to half guard, despite Parsons's best efforts.

Cornwall tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Parsons has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cornwall wants to improve his position but Parsons is controlling well.

Cornwall tries to get to full guard but Parsons has control of the leg.

Parsons tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cornwall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parsons somewhat.
Cornwall misses with a combination

and Parsons decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cornwall's guard.

Cornwall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Parsons defends it easily.
Cornwall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cornwall controls Parsons momentarily but Parsons frees himself.
Cornwall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well, if Parsons is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Cornwall tries to get to full guard but Parsons has control of the leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cornwall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cornwall.
Parsons has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cornwall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Parsons stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cornwall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cornwall is looking for a triangle but Parsons pushes his legs off easily.
Parsons trying to control the position from guard on top but Cornwall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Parsons stopping the sweep attempt from Cornwall.
Cornwall will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Cornwall wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cornwall is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cornwall wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Parsons is now in half guard.
Parsons content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cornwall throws a right hand that misses

and Parsons counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cornwall won't be happy with that.
Cornwall tries to improve position but can't.
Parsons controlling from side mount.
Cornwall struggling a bit here.
Parsons is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cornwall's shoulder. That is not cool.
Cornwall is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Parsons is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Cornwall is working to get back to half guard.
Parsons controlling from mount.
Cornwall tries to hold on but Parsons pushes him away.
Cornwall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Parsons content just to control the position here.
Cornwall is wriggling around trying to escape.
Parsons wants to take Cornwall's back here but Cornwall is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Cornwall is looking to get to half guard.

Cornwall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cornwall is trying to reverse the position but instead Parsons has taken his back - oops!
Cornwall tries to roll but Parsons sticks to his back.
Cornwall is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Parsons.
Cornwall rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Parsons, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
