Patterson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ice Cream Paint Job kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson throws a right hand that Marston ducks under and follows up with a left that Marston also avoids with ease.
Patterson tries to move into range but Marston moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Marston shoots in for a double leg but Patterson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Marston tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Patterson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Marston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Patterson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Marston uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Patterson.
Marston shoots in looking for a takedown but Patterson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marston's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marston looks to land a combination but Patterson avoids it well.

Marston shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Patterson's guard.

Marston avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Marston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Patterson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Marston, into his guard.
Marston looking to hit a scissor sweep but Patterson is one step ahead there.
Marston throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Patterson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Patterson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Marston working for a triangle but Patterson defends it easily.

Marston looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Patterson passes into half guard.

Patterson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Marston tries to get to full guard but Patterson has control of the leg.

Patterson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Marston defends it well.

Marston is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Patterson pulls his head out easily.

Patterson wants to work for an arm triangle but Marston is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Marston is looking to control Patterson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marston avoid being mounted?
Patterson prevents Marston from improving his position.

Patterson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Marston is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
