Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joao Botelho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Beto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Botelho comes to the cage accompanied by Vale Tudo - Mag. Beto is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j4oXUTkn7s. Adriano Beto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joao Botelho's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Botelho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Beto!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beto with a lazy takedown attempt
and Botelho counters with a nice uppercut.
Beto fails with the takedown
and Botelho counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Botelho has taken the fight to the clinch.
Beto tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Botelho smiles and moves away.
Joao Botelho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adriano Beto.

and Beto counters with a shoot takedown. Botelho fights it but they end up in guard.

Beto drops back looking for a leg! Botelho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Botelho manages to kick Beto off! Beto jumps back into Botelho's guard.

Botelho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beto is aware though and is defending well.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Botelho holds on and takes a little breather.

Beto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Botelho manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Beto has Botelho in his guard.
Beto keeping moving, preventing Botelho from controlling successfully.
Botelho will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Botelho would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Beto is looking to sinch up a triangle. Botelho throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Beto's body to avoid the submission. Beto has instead reached around Botelho's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Beto arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
