Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between thiago Pedace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedace tries for a takedown but Oliveira circles away easily
and Oliveira cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Oliveira might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pedace kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Pedace lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

That's time! Pedace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Pedace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Oliveira swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pedace wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pedace is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Oliveira has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pedace avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oliveira turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Oliveira manages to end up in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Pedace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oliveira's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to thiago Pedace.
