Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Zorich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Jones will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zorich throws a body kick the misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Zorich closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jones pushes Zorich off looking to stand but Zorich dives back in and keeps control.
Zorich working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zorich lands a nice short elbow.

Zorich seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Zorich looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Zorich looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Well, if Zorich is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
