Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Turek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Wastler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerald Turek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Wastler!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wastler shoots for a takedown but Turek saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Turek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wastler tries to avoid it but Turek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wastler to the ground. Wastler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Turek fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wastler sprawls well initially but Turek persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Turek wants to pass the guard but Wastler is defending well.

Turek decides to return to a standing position.
Wastler keeps the fight on the outside.
Turek looks for a takedown but Wastler sprawls well.
Turek tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wastler was well out of range. Poor timing from Turek.
Turek misses with a takedown
and Wastler counters with a big head kick but Turek shrugs it off.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerald Turek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turek shoots in for a takedown but Wastler shows good takedown defense.
Wastler swats away the attempt to clinch by Turek.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wastler is working for takedown but Turek is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wastler tries to pull guard but Turek won't allow it.

Turek is trying to break the clinch but Wastler is controlling him.
Wastler is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Turek works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Turek slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wastler tries to bench press Turek off him but Turek keeps the position.
What's Wastler going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Wastler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Turek stands up and beckons Wastler to his feet.
A head kick by Turek misses
and Wastler counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Wastler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Turek instigates a clinch.
Turek just leaning against Wastler, taking a breather.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wastler trying to control the position but instead, Turek has worked for underhooks and has pushed Wastler into the cage.
Turek has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wastler is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Turek breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Turek throws a sloppy head kick and Wastler moves out of range easily.

Turek keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gerald Turek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wastler won't allow Turek to get back to his feet.

Turek lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wastler!

Turek is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Wastler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Turek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wastler's guard now.
Wastler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Turek is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wastler can't keep his opponent in guard - Turek advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Turek is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Turek instigates a clinch.
Turek lands an uppercut.

Turek drags the fight down to the ground.
Wastler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Turek has Wastler pulled in close to control his posture.
Turek's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gerald Turek.

Turek scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Wastler is breathing heavily.
Turek looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wastler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wastler tries to roll over but Turek keeps him under control.

Turek is looking for a kimura but Wastler is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Turek to get the leverage.
Turek takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Turek not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Wastler kicks Turek off and gets back to his feet.
Wastler fails with a takedown attempt.

Turek has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Gerald Turek just wasn't active enough.

Turek gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Turek has clasped his hands together around Wastler's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Turek takes a little break here. Wastler wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Turek prevents Wastler from improving his position.
Gerald Turek overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Turek decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Turek closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wastler to the mat! Wastler manages to get full guard.
Turek is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Turek scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Turek's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Wastler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Turek seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wastler for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Gerald Turek just wasn't active enough.
Turek shoots in and drives through. Wastler sprawls well.
Turek wants to slow Wastler down by chopping away at his legs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Turek keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wastler's efforts to push away.

Turek is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wastler can't fight it off and eventually Turek manages to take the fight to the floor. Wastler looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wastler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turek controls the pace.

Turek wants to control from the top but Wastler keeps moving.

Turek decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Turek lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Wastler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wastler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turek walks away with a smile on his face. Wastler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wastler looks to land a body kick but Turek moved away.

Turek has Wastler up against the cage in a clinch.
Wastler jumps guard but Turek stands there with Wastler around his waist. Wastler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Turek is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wastler is defending well for now.
Wastler has Turek pressed against the cage, preventing Turek from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Wastler gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Turek.

Turek manages to break the clinch.

Turek shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wastler is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Turek is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wastler is looking to improve his position but Turek isn't that keen on the idea.

Turek avoids the attempt from Wastler to control.

Gerald Turek showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Turek, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
