Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Ziskie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mogul Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phillip Ziskie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mogul Khan!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a combination that misses
letting Ziskie counter with a right hand.
Ziskie misses with a two punch combination.
Ziskie throws a nice looking combination but Khan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ziskie throws a sloppy head kick and Khan moves out of range easily.
Khan slips a jab from Ziskie.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ziskie throws a shot from downtown. Khan moves away and avoids it.
Ziskie sizes up Khan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Khan shoots and misses
and Ziskie counters with a big head kick but Khan shrugs it off.
Khan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ziskie connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Khan scrambles back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ziskie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Khan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ziskie keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully.

Khan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Khan advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Khan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ziskie sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Khan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Khan trying to pass the guard but Ziskie defending well.

Khan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ziskie keeps working.

Khan missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Khan is trying to control. Ziskie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Khan seems to be working for a kimura but Ziskie defends the submission attempt.

Khan is looking for a kimura but Ziskie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Khan to get the leverage.

Khan is working for a submission of some sort.
Khan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ziskie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ziskie wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mogul Khan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ziskie rushes Khan and presses him up against the cage.
Ziskie gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Khan.

Ziskie manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ziskie lands with a kick to the temple. Khan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ziskie misses with a head kick.

Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Khan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Khan misses with a right hand
and Ziskie counters with a left and a right that stings Khan.
Khan throws a lazy head kick
and Ziskie counters with a nice uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A swing and a miss from Ziskie.
Ziskie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ziskie connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Khan misses with a wild combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ziskie throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range.
Khan misses with a takedown
and Ziskie counters with a left and a right that stings Khan.
Phillip Ziskie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mogul Khan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Khan misses with a takedown
and Ziskie counters with a two punch combo.
Ziskie throws a right hand that Khan ducks under and follows up with a left that Khan also avoids with ease.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ziskie throws an off balance right hand

and Khan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ziskie won't be happy with that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Phillip Ziskie will probably get the nod.

and Ziskie counters with a one-two to the body.
Ziskie fails to land with a series of punches.

Ziskie connects with a nice looking jab.

Ziskie rushes Khan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Khan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ziskie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Khan jumps into guard, dragging Ziskie to the mat.

Khan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ziskie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ziskie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Khan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ziskie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ziskie wanted to stand there but Khan had control of the position.

Ziskie wants to get up but he can't break Khan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ziskie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ziskie has managed to get both his arms back between Khan's legs - danger averted.

Khan is looking to control Ziskie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khan avoid being mounted?

Ziskie tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Ziskie gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Khan misses with an uppercut. Ziskie saw that one coming.
Ziskie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khan circles away quickly and effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Khan throws a combination that misses
and Ziskie counters with a three punch combo that has Khan backing up. Khan nods at Ziskie to acknowledge the strikes.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Ziskie counters with a nice body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mogul Khan.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
