PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kari Tapio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tapio has chosen Cannibal Corpse as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

John Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tapio drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Tapio decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tapio has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tapio looks up at the clock and then as Jackson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tapio smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kari Tapio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Tapio is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jackson's shoulder. That is not cool.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - Tapio advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kari Tapio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tapio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
