Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Gnomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshi Gnomi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Duke Knight's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Gnomi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gnomi tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Knight counters with a straight right hand.
Knight misses with a few strikes there.

Gnomi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gnomi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Gnomi is looking for a kimura here.
Gnomi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gnomi won't let Knight get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Gnomi goes for an armbar but Knight turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Knight.
Knight is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Knight leaves Gnomi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gnomi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Knight is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gnomi.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Knight decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gnomi's guard.
