The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kudryavtsev is defended easily by Mayham.
No joy there for Mayham, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mayham throws a nice looking combination but Kudryavtsev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kudryavtsev moves into the clinch successfully.

Mayham breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Kudryavtsev with that takedown attempt.
Kudryavtsev fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Svyatoslav Kudryavtsev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mayham fails to land with a series of punches.
Mayham with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kudryavtsev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mayham tries to avoid it but Kudryavtsev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mayham to the ground. Mayham escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mayham throws a series of punches but Kudryavtsev moves out of range.
A left and a right from Mayham both land. Nice combination.
Kudryavtsev slips a jab and a cross from Mayham.
Mayham throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kudryavtsev.
Kudryavtsev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mayham circles away.
Mayham moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mayham misses with a two punch combination.

Kudryavtsev forces Mayham back against the cage and clinches.

Kudryavtsev shoots in for a double leg but Mayham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mayham looks to land a combination but Kudryavtsev avoids it well.
Mayham throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kudryavtsev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kudryavtsev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mayham as he jumps to the side.

Kudryavtsev is breathing heavily.
Mayham scores with a one two! Kudryavtsev had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mayham ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mayham cracks Kudryavtsev with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Roy Mayham is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Mayham counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Mayham connects with an inside leg kick.
Mayham turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kudryavtsev has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mayham is working the combinations to good effect here.

Mayham goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Kudryavtsev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mayham Rushes Kudryavtsev and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Kudryavtsev is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Mayham Piles on the pressure and Kudryavtsev crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
