Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Sparza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tito Sparza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar throws a series of punches but Sparza avoids them all with ease.

Sparza shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lesnar napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sparza prevents Lesnar from escaping the position.
Sparza creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.


It looks like Frank Lesnar has been cut.
Sparza working the strikes but Lesnar uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Sparza is just content to waste time from the top position. Lesnar takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Sparza controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sparza lands a couple of digs.
Sparza is stalling in the full guard.
Sparza with a flurry of punches that miss.

Lesnar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sparza is controlling him.
Sparza throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sparza postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sparza not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lesnar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sparza looking to sit in guard and control but Lesnar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lesnar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Lesnar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sparza is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sparza is controlling Lesnar's posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lesnar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Lesnar moves into the clinch.
Lesnar is pressed up against the cage. Sparza has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lesnar down to the mat. Lesnar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Frank Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesnar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A combination from Sparza does no damage.
Sparza fails with the takedown
and Lesnar counters with a left and a right that stings Sparza.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Sparza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sparza throws a body punch but Lesnar moves out of range.
Lesnar wants to clinch up but Sparza keeps it at a distance.

and Sparza counters with a shoot takedown. Lesnar fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sparza throws a strike but Lesnar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lesnar looking to sit in guard and control but Sparza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lesnar is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Lesnar is trying to push Sparza away but Sparza has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sparza can't break the clinch.
Sparza tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lesnar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sparza drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lesnar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sparza clobbers Lesnar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Sparza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sparza postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar wants to sweep here but Sparza controlling him for the moment.

Sparza is working Lesnar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lesnar is fighting to break Sparza's control of his arms but Sparza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Sparza has his feet on Lesnar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Lesnar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sparza counters with a three punch combo that has Lesnar backing up. Lesnar nods at Sparza to acknowledge the strikes.
Lesnar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sparza fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Sparza takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lesnar ducks under a wild hook from Sparza.
