Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karim Adel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rulian Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adel comes to the cage accompanied by let the body hit the floor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Adel counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gracie on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Adel. Adel obviously looking to wear him down.
Gracie takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Adel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.

and Adel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Adel's guard.

Gracie wanted to stand there but Adel had control of the position.

Adel has his feet on Gracie's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Adel turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Adel feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. Adel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Karim Adel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Adel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage.
Adel lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Adel is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Adel decides to return to a standing position.

Adel darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage.
Adel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gracie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adel gets through Gracie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Adel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gracie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Adel lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Adel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Adel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gracie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Adel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Adel has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
