Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ko Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Filipovic's choice of entrance music: Duran Duran - Wild boys. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic works over Master's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Ko Master has been cut.
Filipovic fails with a takedown attempt.

Master is trying to break the clinch but Filipovic is controlling him.

Filipovic fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Master looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Filipovic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Master sprawls well. Master wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Filipovic gets slowly back to his feet.

Master will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Filipovic feints a jab promting Master to slip. Filipovic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Master slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Master tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filipovic swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Filipovic scores with a one two! Master had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Master takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

A frustrated look appears on Filipovic's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Master jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Filipovic walks away with a smile on his face. Master gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Master has Filipovic pressed against the cage, preventing Filipovic from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Filipovic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Master tries to stall but Filipovic uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Master looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
