Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Dummy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McMinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMinn has chosen Come Together as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Dummy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patrick McMinn!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMinn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Dummy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McMinn misses with a right hand
and Dummy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A jab from McMinn finds it's way through Dummy's defenses.

Dummy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McMinn's half guard.
McMinn tries to roll over but Dummy keeps him under control.
Dummy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McMinn is trying to get back to full guard.

Dummy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dummy performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Dummy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McMinn for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McMinn wants to improve his position but Dummy is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bubba Dummy.
McMinn throws a poor cross that misses

and Dummy counters with a takedown into side control.
Dummy wants to lay and pray for a moment but McMinn keeps working.
McMinn is being controlled here.
McMinn is trying to control Dummy's posture but Dummy avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McMinn wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and McMinn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dummy thinking.

McMinn tries to bum rush Dummy with a series of wild strikes but Dummy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Dummy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McMinn's guard.
McMinn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
McMinn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dummy's guard.
Dummy has McMinn pulled in close to control his posture.

McMinn wants to control from the top but Dummy keeps moving.

and Dummy counters with a single leg into guard. McMinn didn't expect that.

McMinn keeping moving, preventing Dummy from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
McMinn working a defensive guard but Dummy manages to pass into side control anyway.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bubba Dummy will probably get the nod.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dummy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bubba Dummy.
McMinn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dummy.
McMinn misses with a lunging right hand

and Dummy counters with a nice double leg into side control. McMinn won't be happy with that.
Dummy gets to mount! McMinn was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

McMinn keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dummy is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. McMinn is in real trouble.
Dummy is hanging on to McMinn's back as he tries to escape.
Bubba Dummy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McMinn rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
McMinn wants to improve his position but Dummy is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bubba Dummy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dummy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
