Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimo Leonardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonardo comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing. Ellis has chosen Nightmare as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leonardo.

Leonardo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ellis did well to prevent Leonardo getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Leonardo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ellis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Leonardo has Ellis in his guard.

Leonardo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ellis is now in Leonardo's guard. A big mistake from Leonardo there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
