The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Exvanderson throws a nice looking combination but McVirus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McVirus showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Exvanderson.
Exvanderson tries to bum rush McVirus with a series of wild strikes but McVirus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Exvanderson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Exvanderson duly obliges.

Exvanderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McVirus sprawls well initially but Exvanderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Exvanderson stands up from half guard.
Exvanderson shoots in looking for a takedown. McVirus tries to sprawl out of it but Exvanderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McVirus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McVirus scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Jeremiah Exvanderson has been cut.
Exvanderson just misses with a punch to the body.
Exvanderson fails with the takedown.

McVirus gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Exvanderson is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McVirus is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Exvanderson is trying to maintain the position but McVirus is very close to passing his half guard.
Exvanderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McVirus is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
McVirus wants to free his trapped foot but Exvanderson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McVirus is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Exvanderson reverses the position - he's now on top in McVirus's guard.
McVirus is trying to control the position but Exvanderson postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McVirus uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Exvanderson has time to react.
McVirus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Exvanderson.

Exvanderson lands a hook that stumbles McVirus back into the cage. Exvanderson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping McVirus to the canvas! Exvanderson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - McVirus has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
