The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie misses with a head shot. Kelly uses the momentum to regain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Kelly is keeping the position.

Kelly scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Gracie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kelly circles away quickly and effectively.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kelly lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie!

Rob Kelly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kelly loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gracie scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kelly land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kelly stands and salutes the crowd.
