Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roope Rautakoura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roope Rautakoura told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Slade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roope Rautakoura!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade throws a big shot that misses.
Rautakoura looks for a takedown but Slade sprawls well.
Rautakoura gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rautakoura moves to clinch but Slade breaks away
and Slade counters with a left to the body.
Slade throws a right and a left that Rautakoura avoids nicely.
Rautakoura wants to clinch but Slade slips to the side
letting Slade counter with a right hand.
Slade lands a slapping body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oooooh!!! Slade has knocked Rautakoura down with a huge combo! Slade steps away and waves a wobbly Rautakoura back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Roope Rautakoura has been cut.
Rautakoura looks gassed!
Slade feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rautakoura sprawling to the canvas! Rautakoura rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Slade finish him?!
Rautakoura is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slade feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rautakouras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Slade is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Rautakoura hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Slade!
