This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rashawn Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brannigan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ross was well out of range. Poor timing from Brannigan.

and Brannigan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ross's knee momentarily.
Brannigan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Brannigan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ross sprawling to the canvas! Ross rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brannigan finish him?!

Ross doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Brannigan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ross's head.

Brannigan throws a series of punches but Ross avoids them all with ease.
Ross swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brannigan counters with a body kick that stops Ross in his tracks momentarily.
Good standup being displayed there by Brannigan as he connects with a hook.

Brannigan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A slapping body kick lands there for Brannigan.

Ross with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brannigan to score with a decent uppercut.

and Brannigan counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Brannigan.
Brannigan throws a hook to the side of Ross's head but Ross sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters circling a little - Brannigan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Ross takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Brannigan lands a nice hook to Ross's body. Ross takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Brannigan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ross takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ross has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brannigan has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

and Brannigan counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Ross! This one is all over!
