The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Demented darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Barbarian shoots in and gets a takedown into Demented's guard.
Demented is pulling down on Barbarian's head to control his posture.

Demented controls Barbarian momentarily but Barbarian frees himself.

Barbarian postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Demented is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barbarian, into his guard.

Barbarian drops back, looking for a kneebar! Demented looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Demented looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Demented!

Demented decides to stand back up. Demented steps back and let's Barbarian get back to his feet.
Demented looks gassed!

Barbarian shoots in and bounces Demented off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Barbarian throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Demented works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conan Barbarian dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Barbarian bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Barbarian walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Horrible takedown by Barbarian or perhaps it was just good defense by Demented which made him look bad.

Demented lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Demented paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Barbarian is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Oh Barbarian is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Demented throws a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barbarian with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Demented to score with a decent uppercut.
Barbarian takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Demented keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Demented feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barbarians jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Barbarian takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Barbarian gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Demented gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Barbarian is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
