The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silvas.
Silvas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Young lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Silvas throws a nice inside leg kick.
Young throws a series of punches but Silvas moves out of range.
Patrick Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Young looks to land a right hand but Silvas moved out of range.
Young ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Young throws a head kick that misses.
Silvas darts in trying to clinch
and Young counters with a leg kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silvas.

and Silvas counters with a good low kick that Young was not able to check.
Silvas tries to clinch but Young moves away
and Young counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silvas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Silvas is breathing heavily.
Young takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Young lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Silvas moves to clinch but Young breaks away
and Silvas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Silvas is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Young throws a head kick but Silvas moves out of range.
Young circles away from the clinch attempt
and Young counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Young lands a slapping body shot.
Silvas avoids the head kick by Young.
Silvas staying out of range there.
A good leg kick by Young.
Silvas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Young lunges at Silvas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silvas's hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Young! Silvas is out on his feet! Young rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Silvas is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Silvas is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Young!
