Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Martyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Watcharaphong Phantalee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Martyn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Live For The Moment. Watcharaphong Phantalee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martyn throws a right hand that Phantalee ducks under and follows up with a left that Phantalee also avoids with ease.
Phantalee tries to clinch but Martyn moves away

and Martyn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Phantalee working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Martyn.
Phantalee wants to stand up but Martyn is controlling him.
Martyn landing some decent shots from guard.
Martyn postures up in Phantalee's guard and throws a big left but Phantalee blocks it.
Phantalee wants to stand and escape but Martyn is having none of it.
Phantalee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Martyn controls the pace.

Martyn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Martyn passes Phantalee's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Martyn is taking a breather. Phantalee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Martyn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Martyn is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Phantalee is hurt! He's hurt bad - Martyn fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Phantalee from any more punishment! Congratulations to Martyn! Great finish!
