PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tairy Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Tronk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tronk has chosen "Go Getta" - Young Jeezy as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Tairy Greene has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tairy Greene seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Tronk closes the distance looking to clinch
and Greene connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tronk throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Greene counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

so Greene counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Greene has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tronk has momentary wrist control but Greene slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tronk is looking to stand up but Greene isn't so interested in that idea.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Greene stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tronk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Greene is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tronk wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Greene manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Greene is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tronk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Greene.

Tronk makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

A decent looking cross lands there for Greene.

Greene misses with an uppercut. Tronk saw that one coming.

Tronk is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Tronk takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Greene thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tronk dodges the ground and pound from Greene.

Greene is working to tighten is grip on Tronk's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tronk has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Greene is really squeezing tight and eventually Tronk passes out! Greene breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
