Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Potatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potatos comes to the cage accompanied by Just Another Victim by Helmet&House of Pain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Red Hook!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hook thumps Potatos with a low kick.
Hook misses with a body shot.
Hook throws a head kick that misses.
Nice jab there from Potatos.
Hook lands a head kick!
Potatos moves out of range of the body kick from Hook.
Hook thows a leg kick but Potatos checks it
and Hook takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Potatos lands a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Potatos shoots in for a takedown but Hook shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hook connects with a high kick.
Hook tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hook pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Hook gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hook wants to stand up but Potatos is controlling him.
Hook keeping moving, preventing Potatos from controlling successfully.

Hook avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Potatos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potatos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Hook controls Potatos momentarily but Potatos frees himself.
Hook has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Potatos has passed into side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Potatos postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Potatos is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hook has escaped the position, nice work there.

Potatos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hook keeps working.
Potatos misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Potatos goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hook has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Potatos but great work by Hook.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hook.
Red Hook seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Potatos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hook is trying to maintain the position but Potatos is very close to passing his half guard.
Potatos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hook is trying to stand up here but Potatos is controlling him well.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Potatos, as that shot connected.

Hook is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.

Potatos lands a slapping body shot.
Potatos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hook can do to turn this around?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Potatos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Potatos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Potatos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hook napping and manages to drive through into side control!
